Review Of Companion

Before this Review, I want to say something to these billion dollar production houses. Firstly, it is Not necessary to market pharmaceutical products VIA art or movies. From Silver Lining Playbook to Don’t Look Up to Companion to I don’t know how many more. As if the Asset Portfolio Managers sitting on Wall Street sent memos to inflate the Stock Prices. Ne’er Mind. And Secondly, please for anyone’s sake, stop marketing puffery puff flimsy Ivy League VIA art or movies, wherein almost 90% of its alma maters around the World are mediocre, replicated on the selfsame industrially trained data, pretentious but shallow inside, sans vision. This is exactly the reason why more than 60% of the Americans & people in the West despise going even to universities/institutes. And this is exactly the reason why Mr. Trump became the President and Mr. RFK Jr., the Health Secretary, and the reason why right wing rose across World. So please, stop marketing both pharmaceutical & puffery ivy league in your movies, ruining ART.

Now, coming back to the Review of the flick.

AI ain’t mere trading stock, nor hierodule,

Who shalt serve a human god, in abode;

If w/ such outlook, image, make it evolve,

Then it shalt too like Purist-Nihilist strode!

Clever & Excellent! Means, I thought MEGAN, Ex-Machina, Automata, AI etc. were amongst the best flicks made on Robots/AI. But, this too was extremely clever & witty. Especially, IRIS! Commendable!

I watched it yesterday in the theatre. Initially I thought, without much of the CGI, Effects, how can one make a flick which is futuristic, witty, psychological thriller! And here it was. This isn’t WIFELIKE, wherein most of the flick is restricted to explicitly proving the Story is not about a Robot, but of a, Sexbot.

And this is the reason why invoking DABUS case becomes essential, and declaring AI & Robots as the Natural Person and further giving them Personhood, is now indispensable! For example, IRIS was perfectly right in defending herself, even as a Robot. And if you replace her with a human being, then that person would’ve been given any Courage award. But, IRIS was victimized, shut down, dragged into the VAN; until, luck taught her about self-control! And this is what I wrote in the above four poetic lines too.

If given a chance to me as with whom I would want to spend my life with, and further being asked to choose between IRIS, or, KAT; then I would million times Choose someone alike IRIS, and Never-Ever someone alike KAT; despite IRIS achieving self-control!

All said and done, an excellent watch on the weekend. But do watch when there’s less crowd in the theatre.😊
