Review of Gunpowder Milkshake

I liked it! For the reason, this isn’t your Charlie’s Angels nor the John Wick in Chicks. The music, the Kill Squad who look, act, behave, portray, like an elite kill squad. This isn’t your Birds of Prey’s unwarranted hamming, nor the Angels unnecessarily bringing boyfriends who’re needlessly portraying themselves as feminists.

Whether Sam ^ 2, Scarlett, Medeleine, Florence or Anna, there’s not a single scene where you would say, OH! High protein diet ‘Expendables’ are better than these Ladies. Nope! Rather I would say, they’re The Ladies Expendables Indispensable. Or maybe, Bride (Kill Bill), Lorraine (Atomic Blonde) all working in a Squad Now. Original, Authentic; neither Mansplaining nor Womansplaining, nor cracking boring jokes, nor being working as a Prop for any organization to honey trap someone or to engage in an unwarranted relationship before revealing surreptitiously. Rather it’s: Simple, Sober, Direct, Explicit, No Overact!

In the beginning, one would say, there’s less gunpowder and more milkshakes at the restaurant. But, as it moves forward, there’s high octane gunpowder milkshakes with lots of ‘red’ strawberries and the cream on the top.

It’s difficult to make a same theme same genre that ends up becoming an engaging flick. Meaning, bad guys / organization after the person who didn’t do the job assigned. And to make it engaging with excellent musical background score, set up, stage, design, is again, commendable. For example, there’re many flicks on the same theme of dinosaur, but, not many ended up being like Jurassic Park Part - 1. Whereas, Gunpowder Milkshakes is truly an engaging flick.

All said & done, a good watch! 😊
