Maybe, Art wins in the end! Because Tashi screams ‘C’mon’! And she screams when she wins! Correct? And she didn’t scream as Patrick & Art got united, but, her wish to see Art (husband) playing & winning, what she dreamt for herself, becoming a reality.
I’m telling you that Relationship of Two Accomplished people is either false, or, they are together for benefits. The same case was with Tashi & Art. And due to the same reason, Tashi & Patrick also broke in the beginning, as they both were climbing the ladder initially.
Tashi isn’t a home wreaker, but, merely wanted a four legged horse in life, which, no one gets in the World. That’s why, she wanted to see the image of Patrick in Art, but, couldn’t see the success of Art in Patrick; hence, discontented!
There were really good lawn tennis payers, and yes, I’ve also seen myself, ending up doing 9-5 jobs due to compulsion, whilst, those, despite influence, hardly reached anywhere; but that helped them at least getting into Academia, or some good Assignments; in the 90s - early 00, playing in stadiums / courts in bisset myself, (because after all, merely ‘representation’ matters under doctrine of assuage).
You shouldn’t start a relationship with a number being given to who wins the match, nor should expect in a relationship someone to be your fan; what Tashi expected. So goes in the case of Patrick, being ego statical, no less.
Whereas, poly-relationships would never work in real life. Ever! That would merely wreck, and subtract decency, from relationships itself.
At the end of the day, it’s also Art who asked Patrick to move away from Tashi, not Tashi alone. And if Patrick sacrificed its final chances for the friendship that had already lost its value+shine in the decade and a half, on the request of Tashi, who would prefer to part ways from him if in case Art wins the career Gland Slam, then Patrick, loses everything. And if Patrick can defeat Art, then technically, he ain’t a bad player, what’s been projected in conversations.
All said and done, a good watch! 😊
