Review Of Gladiator II (4DX)

This is where my theory could be proven correct that, when, both palatial && ghetto mindsets converge, then there’s a chaos in terms of policy making, because according to me, they both are of same genre, with incredible energy level!

Gladiator II is basically: ((Gladiator I + Alexander / 2) == Gladiator II). So, it’s the median. You’ve ambitious sets, visual extravaganza of the original Rome served in the present times in theatres, and for that, it’s commendable. But not much to experience in 4DX.

We need to note that Gladiators weren’t ‘Normal People’. So, embracing ‘Normal People’ into the role of Gladiators, is both challenging for the protagonists/actors and audiences, as well.

The difference between Gladiator I and Gladiator II is -> Pace. And why further, Gladiator I trumps Gladiator II, is due to original musical score composed in the early 00; as era of late 90s and early 00, can’t be replicated.

As correctly said by Macrinus, only in Rome, once a Slave or Gladiator can become the Commander in Chief of the Roman Army. Thus, I won’t blame even Macrinus for taking revenge, as, if someone remembers the words from Kill Bill Volume – II, when Budd says that -> She Deserves Her Revenge And We Deserve To Die (If I’m Not Wrong). Just like Lucius was taking his Revenge, similarly he too was. And just alike Moron Emperors used the strength of Slaves to feed the Bread And Circus game show; similarly, Macrinus used the Emperors’ divine wisdom to take over the throne. I think maybe for one reason, Rome had become so much famous: For Every Caesar, There Was Brutus! Albeit No other Empire was any different too.

Now, it’s not the King, it is always the Republic. If Republic enjoyed colosseum, and Gladiators’ bloodbath, so why blame the Emperors? If the republic can revolt against the killing of Acacius or Lucilla, then they could’ve also revolted against the entire Bread and Circus show too! Correct? But they preferred to watch and enjoy, UNTIL, one of their own, whom they really loved and honored, ended up standing in the colosseum for the judgement of gods.

All said and done, a good watch.😊

Review of DISCLAIMER

I neither believe the story narrated by Catherine, nor I believe what was written/published in the book by Nancy/Stephen; Wholly! This is a classic case of an unsolved mystery, murder/rape case; presented with a half-baked truth!

In the absence of Jonathan, we won’t be able to know, if Catherine is correct! In the absence of the camera footage, testimonies of witnesses at the restaurant, hotel, as how Jonathan and Catherine were behaving that day; we cannot know, if it was Jonathan who intruded Catherine’s room to blackmail or rape her; or, it was Catherine herself, who invited him with the keys being giving to him, after the lengthy discourse as what Jonathan ought to have done with the body of Kylie.

Nicolas didn’t even remember anything, despite being in the picture, witnessing a man with knife and threatening or raping Catherine. Understandable! If that was the case, or, was it otherwise, as the expressions in the pictures were indeed questionable! And mood swings can’t be answer to it.

But Catherine didn’t produce the full story either, which I absolutely doubt. She used the same tactics, which were used in writing/publishing the book by Nancy/Stephen, all under presumption/assumption, how the events ‘ought to have happened,’ without even going and discussing with the witnesses, how Jonathan or Catherine were behaving on the Beach or Restaurant or at Hotel. Means, no incidence of self-indulged cross-examination, and yet, you end up publishing a book, or even making a series. Am I wrong?

And whatever I’m stating above, ask any Top Solicitor, if I wrong in asking such questions. Of course, and if in case I’m wrong, thus requesting to correct me via email or comment, so that I can illuminate myself and remove this review. This is exactly what happened in Gone Girl, the half-baked stories narrated from both the sides. Or maybe, this is how, History Books were/are being Written, under presumptions / assumptions.

BTW, Nicolas hated his mother in any case, and an example of it was the way he talked to Catherine on phone, before even knowing about the reality of the book or Catherine; thus, pretending, what a shock it was for Nicolas, and then he started hating Catherine, is pretty exaggerating!

Of course, excellent cast, excellent acting, especially the scene in which Jonathan is trying to save Nicolas on the Beach, or, the end scene wherein, Stephen tries to execute Nicolas, but stops, were both intriguing, and, honestly, I didn’t move from my seat whilst watching these two intriguing scenes. It is both Stephen and Catherine, that made DISCLAIMER an excellent story to watch, rather read! And it is only because of Stephen and Catherine that DISCLAIMER is one of the best series I’ve watched in the present times.

All said and done, and if above of my questions are being answered, an Excellent Watch! 😊

Review of Bad Monkey

I didn’t understand many things. Is the show based on how the antagonists were caught by the protagonist(s)? Or eventually, how the antagonists achieved their much deserving fate, via……fate? And not by the protagonists? Means, till the last episode, the accounts not being frozen, whilst no one agrees to extradite them, despite involving of the major issue, and that too when the location is the nearby island only. C’mon! And if it was all fate, was there a necessity of all this, as in any case, the antagonists would’ve achieved their fate, via Karma, or whichever way you call it. As even in the end, the protagonist recalls to ‘Let Go’ things in life. Then what was it all about? The issue is, if one episode is of 45 - 50 minutes, then there should be something more. Else, the episodes shouldn’t be of not more than 25 minutes.

In the last episode, I found the series to be bit disconnected. Till the last scene, I thought, now it would be revealed that someone else was running the show. But then, the foundation of the next season was forged.

Bad Monkey could be the metaphor used in the title, but the marketing picture that was used, is like Tintin & Snowy, Alladin & Abu, etc. that one would expect the Protagonist and his Pet together solving the case, yet, the monkey ne’er lives nearby him. I’m not talking about the metaphor; I’m merely talking about the marketing picture.

Rather, had that been revealed in the end that the main antagonist character is alive, it would’ve made sense. Isn’t it?

It felt that everyone is chasing someone, yet, no one is chasing no one. A bit slow, sometimes. And I think in every society, there’re cameras installed, so on the roads, for Surveillance. Yet, the cameras absent at the important places.

I watch such series while travelling, or, on weekends, or, while having coffee/tea. And these are also included in arts. After all, so many minds & hands are involved, included in making any series or a flick. Further, there must’ve been collective consent before releasing. Of course, beauty lies in the eyes of beholders, yet, I hope I’m not wrong in writing the above passive observations.

All said and done, an OK weekend watch.😊
